BIOGRAPHY
I have been officiating at interfaith, non-denominational, and Jewish weddings, renewals, and commitment ceremonies on Maui since 1987, licensed by the State of Hawaii since 1989. It has been and is my privilege to officiate at weddings, renewals and commitment ceremonies for people from all over the world, at a variety of settings—from beaches to boats, waterfalls to helicopters, sunrise on top of Haleakala (the highest peak on Maui and our most famous volcano) to an evening candlelight ceremony at the world famous Grand Wailea Resort chapel.
Prior to moving to Hawaii in 1984, I officiated at weddings in Colorado and California. I have been a member of the Maui Wedding Association (formally the Hawaiian Professional Wedding Association) since its inception. I have appeared as an officiant on the syndicated program “The Wedding Story” on TLC and have also officiated at life affirming ceremonies (house blessings, children blessings, etc).
I am a Universal Life minister, and my studies have included intensive readings and courses in meditation, yoga, Judaism, Zen Buddhism, and Christianity. I studied with a yoga master for 14 years as well as a zen master. My background in Judaism includes extensive knowledge of Hebrew. I am sometimes asked to train young people for their right of passage.
I have spoken to large and small audiences about stress management, meditation, communication, love, and marriage; taught courses and seminars on meditation, stress management, and communication to businesses and on college campuses; counseled on relationship, communications, and stress; and have been a presenter at major industrial and corporate meetings speaking on love, mind dynamics, motivation, respect, stress, and effectiveness.
